AlexAndChristine > Taillight on fender. The LEDs are all near the top because there is less space inside the reflector body near the bottom.
AlexAndChristine > Here I popped out the reflector to show how things are wired.
AlexAndChristine > A better view of the wiring. Someday I'll cover this all in epoxy to protect it from vibrations.
AlexAndChristine > A 3/4 view showing it all put back together again.
AlexAndChristine > My messy basement with the bicycle lights turned off.
AlexAndChristine > My first attempt at showing the bicycle lighting. Half of the basement lights were on, giving ambient light similar to a late afternoon. It's bright, but I look goofy spinning the wheel.
AlexAndChristine > Second attempt. The lights are off so you only see light from the taillight.
AlexAndChristine > Third attempt. Both taillights are on and you can see how much brighter the homemade light is than the commercial one.
AlexAndChristine > Forth attempt with a bit of a closeup. Writing these comments makes me realize that I should try another shot from the side showing everything that the LED taillight is lighting up.
Third attempt. Both taillights are on and you can see how much brighter the homemade light is than the commercial one.
