AlexAndChristine > Our beautiful new kitchen!

The stove, faucet, and dishwasher are the only items remaining from the old kitchen. The cabinetry is semi-custom and locally made by Pacific Crest. The counters are quartz (Cambria) and the tiles are hand made by a company called Meredith Tile. Our contractor was Creative Kitchen and Bath in Lynnwood, WA.

We no longer have upper cabinets on this wall. It makes the kitchen feel much more open. I think we're going to make some floating shelves with crown molding to hold pottery and other items.
AlexAndChristine > Another view of the kitchen. Christine says "check out the sexy quartz countertops".
AlexAndChristine > Glassware cabinet and drawers for linens face into the dining room.
AlexAndChristine > Finally a place for our cookbooks and catfood.
AlexAndChristine > The view from the pantry/office area across the kitchen and into the dining room. We used the same light fixtures in the kitchen and dining room. The cabinets are made of cherry and have the same finish as the cabinets in our living room.
AlexAndChristine > Another photo looking back from the office into the kitchen and dining room.
AlexAndChristine > The sink is a two bowl model that is undermounted. The small faucet on the right has filtered very hot and cold water. The small button between the faucets controls the garbage disposal.
AlexAndChristine > Under the sink we have a pull out basket for cleaning supplies. The garbage disposal and water filter/instant hot water heater take up most of the remaining space, but there is enough left over for a trashcan. It was really tricky making all of these things fit!
AlexAndChristine > Viking stove and rangehood with handmade tile backsplash. Christine designed the tile pattern. The lighter color in the tile pattern behind the range picks up the color in the walls and the darker color picks up the color from the cabinets. The main backsplash tiles are off-white subway tiles and go all the way around the kitchen.
