AlexAndChristine > A basic view of the old kitchen. A few things to notice:
* The wall cabinets are all of different heights
* The range hood is not centered on the stove
* There is just a small table to the right of the stove, not a cabinet. It wasn't very sturdy.
* The top drawers in the cabinets are very shallow (about 2.5" deep). This made it difficult to fit much into them.

AlexAndChristine > This is a view from the basement doorway. There was funny looking but not very effective lighting over the sink.

AlexAndChristine > There is a chimney hidden in the wall to the right of the refrigerator. The old kitchen had two small peninsula cabinets. We removed the one in front of the chimney and made the other one larger.
