AlexAndChristine > Another reason for removing this early light mount is that it mounted the light too close to the tire.  I thought narrow would be good for the bus rack, but it turned out not to be an issue.  They design it the rack around very wide suspension forks.

The switch mount is 1/32" plate which is brazed into the tube.  I put a small tab on the end of the plate and cut a notch in the tube using a dremel cutoff wheel.  No jigging required.
